Almost half of motorists (46 per cent) have deferred car-related expenditure over the past year, according to a survey by Glass’s Guide. That includes 15 per cent of drivers who have postponed regular routine car servicing and eight per cent who have taken the “potentially dangerous” decision to delay buying replacement tyres, says Glass’s. A total of 15 per cent have delayed bodywork repairs and 13 per cent of motorists have pushed back a scheduled service of their vehicle’s air-conditioning system.
