A classic Morris Minor has returned to the garage where it was originally sold as a brand new model 42 years ago. The burgundy-coloured car first hit the forecourt in 1968 where it was sold for £631. But now four decades later, the Morris Minor 1000, which came complete with a fuel ration book, has stunned a car dealership owner when it rolled back up at his garage a couple of weeks ago. Owner Peter Gregg, 66, returned it home to T Wall Garages, in the West Midlands, who paid more than the car’s price brand new with an undisclosed four-figure sum. Craig Styles, sales representative of the garage, said: ‘We received an e-mail sent to us from Peter asking whether we were interested in buying it back. ‘At the time I didn’t even know we were once a Morris Minor dealer. ‘We were surprised.
