SOME of the worst speeding motorists are to be found in Scotland, Swindon and Sheffield, it has been revealed. More than 54% of male drivers aged 17-21 in Milngavie, East Dunbartonshire, Scotland, have a speeding conviction, research by moneysupermarket.com found. More than 52% of men aged 31-40 in Swindon, Wiltshire, and more than 30% in Sheffield have been convicted for speeding. Other areas where there are high speeding rates for particular male age groups include Crieff in Perth, Scotland; the Holmes Chapel area of Crewe in Cheshire; the city centre and Ancoats area of Manchester; and Bishopton, Paisley, Scotland. Most of the high rates of speeding involve males aged 17-40, but in Henley-in-Arden in the West Midlands 22.34% of males aged 51 and over have had speeding convictions, while 21.58% aged 41-50 in Kensington and Chelsea in west London had been “done” for speeding.  More
