A lorry driver was stopped by police and found with a table mounted to his dashboard – and a laptop and DVD player sitting on top. Central Scotland Police were stunned to find the man on September 21 at the Craigforth weighbridge in Stirling driving in his articulated lorry with the objects blocking his view of the road. The Hungarian driver had been travelling along busy motorways as he departed that morning from Aberdeen, and had planned to head all the way to Dover to catch a ferry, until being caught by police. They forced the man to remove the items from his dashboard and also pump up his tyre, which was deflated, before allowing him to head back on his journey. He was not arrested or prosecuted. More
