Motorists ‘dangerously tired from watching late night TV’!
on May 8th, 2010 at 1:55 pmMany motorists are being left dangerously tired from watching too much late-night television before driving on the road, a survey found. Almost two thirds of drivers who go to bed later than 10pm have blamed watching the television for their nocturnal habits, it found. More than 80 per cent of 3000 drivers surveyed said they went to bed later than 10pm. The poll also found more than two in three drivers suffered from insomnia, with the main cause of this being money worries, followed by concerns about work. Even after a disturbed night’s sleep, almost three in four admitted driving the morning rush-hour, while more than half admitted to speeding on their way to work. Overall, the survey found that 86 per cent of those polled were getting less than eight hours sleep a day, with lack of decent shut-eye also caused by domestic problems. More
