This is the moment a driver really went off-road – when his brand new truck became stuck in a water-filled pothole. Chris Nedic had been driving his Nissan Navara home along a country road when his front wheels suddenly sank into the 4ft puddle. Mr Nedic and his brother Carl escaped injury and were told by police that the size of their vehicle saved them from being completely submerged. The pair say they were forced to leap from the £24,000 truck just seconds before the road surface collapsed beneath them. The white 4×4 managed to keep its lights on after the accident, but its rear wheels were left one foot off the ground. The brothers’ father Chris, 54, was injured when he fell into the hole trying to rescue the vehicle. His son Chris got away with minor cuts and bruises while Carl, 25, was treated at Princess Royal Hospital, Telford, for back and leg injuries. The younger Chris Nedic said: “I thought I was a goner. We are both lucky to be alive.” More
