Sofa breaks record and clocks up 101mph!

Couch potatoes in Australia have set a new world record for the fastest sofa in the world – comfortably clocking up speeds of over 100mph. The team at Add a Motor To It managed to get the two-seater to hit a remarkable top speed of 163kph, or 101mph, in a less than leisurely ride in on a runway at Camden Aiport in Sydney. Complete with a coffee table and fruit bowl, the brown leather couch broke the previous world record set by Englishman Marek Turowski in 2007.  More and video
