About this site

Taking the wrong turn on a driving test is not a big problem in itself. Driving faults, both minor and serious, are only awarded if there are errors with your driving skills. So as long every action is safely carried out, no marks will appear on your test report.

Remember that you can ask examiners to repeat or confirm directions if you are unsure. This also is the case for the independent driving exercise when the next three directions are given to candidates by their examiner. These initial directions (which could include a simple map) are given when parked safely at the side of the road.

If you listen carefully to your directions, this will make life easier and calmer for yourself. As any wrong turns could likely extend your test route, or give extra difficulties when you have to turn round to get back on route. Therefore giving you more driving to be examined!!
